Southern Midnight - Southern Rambler

The Southern Midnight is a mix of several breeds. One of the predominate breeds used was the Ayam Cemani. This breed was developed by Danny Eiland former owner of S&G Poultry. Danny has spent a lifetime in poultry genetics and is one of the few remaining American geneticist who understands the complicated world of Poultry Genetics. Danny went to what he calls "The Mixing Pot" to develop a Silkie/Chicken cross without losing Bantam Silkie characteristics such as black skin, five toes, and soft feathers.
