How to Prepare for Delivery of Chicks
There are many things to consider before you place your chick order. We encourage you to visit our blog and browse the articles there, to be as prepared as you can for raising your chickens.
Before you purchase your premium birds from our family of hatcheries, be sure to do these things:
- The chicks will be stressed following shipment, so create a warm space for them to recuperate. A cold environment will only add to their stress.
- The food and water you provide to your newly hatched chicks will be the first they’ve ever received. They will survive up to 72 hours of shipping by getting sustenance from the absorbed yolk, but they will be hungry and thirsty when they arrive.
When Your Chicks Arrive
When your chicks arrive, be sure to inspect the birds carefully. Our birds mean a lot to us, so we want to guarantee that they arrive alive. If you discover that any chicks have not survived shipping, notify us immediately and the chicks will either be replaced or the cost refunded.
